Victorian Afternoon Tea at V&A Museum
14 October 2016
Take tea in the fashion fit for a queen. We’ve partnered with renowned food historian Natasha Marks to restore Afternoon Tea as it was enjoyed by Queen Victoria herself. An authentic menu of sweets and savouries served from 1859-1901 recreates a British social institution in the fashion of its earliest incarnation. Step into the world of this celebrated empress by immersing yourself in the experience of her most beloved daily activity.
Drink in the sumptuous atmosphere of the elegant Morris Room while you sip tea and Prosecco in the first ever purpose-built museum café. Admire intricate stained glass while enjoying classics like asparagus and parmesan tart and Mrs. Beeton’s cucumber sandwich. Lemon and seed cake, gooseberry tart and fruit sconelets will indulge even the most insatiable sweet tooth.
Victorian Afternoon Tea is available for £30 per person.
Prosecco Afternoon Tea is available for £35 per person.
Available every Sunday from 3-5pm, beginning November 13, 2016.
