Quirky, curious, eclectic and surprising – Wellcome Collection near Euston Station is quite unlike any other museum you have visited before.
This famous collection explores the connections between medicine, life and art in the past, present and into the future. It’s the London destination for the incurably curious, and for the incurably peckish, Wellcome Café is to be found to the right of the main entrance.
Give your synapses the chance to relax after taking in the curious exhibits and enjoy a selection of freshly made sandwiches, award winning Benugo blend coffee, loose leaf teas and cakes.
Or, you could head upstairs to Wellcome Kitchen, on the second floor next to the beautiful and unique Reading Room. Pastries, lunch and afternoon tea are available as well as a late night menu on Thursday evenings and First Fridays.
There’s a daily selection of salads, sandwiches and soups, with the focus always on market freshness and local, seasonal produce. We also do a gorgeous afternoon tea, with a selection of sweet and savoury treats, served up in style.
Our café and kitchen are exhibits in themselves, carefully designed to fit with the overall ethos and filled with inspiring artwork. The focal point is the famous Pill Dress by Susie Freeman, a fitting icon for this curious, playful place.
