Cellarium Café & Terrace at Westminster Abbey invites guests to enjoy Abbey in Bloom Afternoon Tea, a refined experience set within the historic surroundings of the medieval Cellarium.

Located beneath the Abbey and filled with natural light from its glass ceiling, the Cellarium offers a peaceful and elegant setting in the heart of London. Once used by Benedictine monks in the 14th century to store food and drink, the space continues its tradition of hospitality today, with every visit supporting the life and work of Westminster Abbey.

Available daily from 12pm, guests can choose from a classic Cream Tea, featuring homemade scones served with Cornish clotted cream and Tiptree strawberry jam, or enjoy the full Abbey in Bloom Afternoon Tea, which showcases a carefully curated selection of savoury and sweet dishes inspired by British flavours and seasonal ingredients.

The afternoon tea includes savoury bites such as truffle egg mayonnaise, hot‑smoked trout and a pea and red onion tart, followed by elegant sweet treats including lemon drizzle cake, chocolate and passion fruit tart, assorted macarons and freshly baked scones. An unlimited selection of teas and coffees is included, allowing guests to relax and enjoy the historic surroundings at their own pace.

For an added touch of indulgence, the experience can be paired with a glass of Chapel Down Classic Brut, England’s sparkling wine. Alongside afternoon tea, Cellarium Café & Terrace also serves a seasonal à la carte menu throughout the day, making it an ideal destination for breakfast, lunch or a leisurely afternoon pause.
