Ashmolean Rooftop Restaurant

A celebration of food and wine alongside art and culture, the Ashmolean Rooftop Restaurant provides the perfect setting for any occasion. Dine in our bright, airy restaurant or on our spectacular rooftop terrace, taking in the view.

The Ashmolean’s Rooftop Restaurant sits at the top of the world’s oldest museum. Floor to ceiling glass windows open out onto a large terrace – perfect for alfresco drinks and dining when the weather allows – affording terrific views of the picturesque spires of Oxford. Afternoon tea is a speciality, often themed to tie-in with whatever exhibition is showing. Where possible we use locally sourced produce and there’s always choices available for different dietary needs.

Open daily, join us for lunch from 11:30am to 2:30pm or Afternoon Tea from 3pm until 6pm (subject to availability)

After you have enjoyed your delicious meal, take a walk around the Museum. Soak in the rich tapestry of art and world famous collections of Egyptian mummies and contemporary art, telling historic stories across cultures.

Gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options are available in the restaurant. Please let us know in advance of your visit of any additional dietary requirements.
