About Cellarium Café and Terrace
In one of London’s most popular tourist spots, Cellarium is set over two floors in Westminster Abbey. Enter through the stunning cloisters to enjoy coffee, cake, afternoon tea or lunch. Breakfast is also served from 8am on weekdays. The cellars are cool and tranquil and the small outdoor terrace is a lovely sunny spot in the summer.
Creation Afternoon Tea
Westminster Abbey is home to one of London’s best kept secrets, a 900-year-old garden, thought to be the oldest in England which was originally used for growing medicinal herbs and foods for the Abbey’s monks. The iconic landmark will celebrate its green spaces with Creation, a summer season of events to remind us that we are all connected in one living world. Highlights include a guided tour with Head Gardener Jan Pancheri, a yoga class in the walled garden, drawing workshops and Wednesday Lates with folk music. Explore the summer events here: https://www.westminster-abbey.org/events/summer-season
Inspired by the gardens, the new Creation afternoon tea served at Cellarium, is set within the Abbey’s stunning medieval cloisters. A selection of elegant sweet and savoury treats has been expertly crafted by Benugo pastry chefs to celebrate nature. Cellarium’s upstairs indoor dining area boasts a glass ceiling with magnificent views of Westminster Abbey.
