Frequently Asked Questions

Cauli makes it super easy for you to switch from your old single use containers to using reusables! You can borrow one of our containers for your lunch, snack or coffee and simply return to one of our return kiosk when your done, no washing out needed! You’ll have 7 days from when you borrow until you need to return your container, although we recommend returning as soon as you’re done with it.

Forgot about a meeting that started 5 minutes ago? No problem! All our containers have leakproof lids so you can take your leftovers with you to have later, and thanks to our 7 day borrow period there’s no rush to return before you’re ready.

Benugo is committed to reducing our impact on the planet. As part of that, we are working to phase out disposable cups starting with our key drink offerings. To support this, Ignacious Sancho Café is introducing a reusable cup scheme.

Cauli has collaborated with researchers from Imperial College London to conduct Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) that evaluate the environmental impact of reusable packaging solutions compared to single-use alternatives. According to the LCAs, the main food container and cup options in the market have the potential to reduce the CO2 footprint of compostable clamshell boxes and cups by 98.7% and 94.1% respectively, over 400 uses. This approach also significantly reduces the volume of landfill waste. Full LCA reports are available upon request.

Yes, and you will get 50p off your drink

Plastic. Whilst many material options are available and were considered, it was necessary to balance the type of material with the aim of frequent reuse and end-of-life recycling. Polypropylene is a light but sturdy material which allows for our containers to be reused hundreds of times. Find out more about why this is the choice for CauliCup here.

The cups are returned to CauliCup where they are xxx. They can also be recycled in normal curbside recycling bins.

Yes, cauli is free to use.

If you bowwow using our Tab&Go there is a temporary holding of £0 which is released once your container is successfully returned to one of our return kiosks or bins.

If you don’t return within 7 days you will purchase the container for £5 through a charge to your card.

Unfortunately, during our pilot, we are unable to take cash for a reusable cup however this option will be available in the future.

Yes! You are eligible to get a 25% discount just for using our free reusable cup.

Unfortunately not, you need to return the reusable cup and lid to get your deposit back.

Yes! You can return it to one of two collection bins which sit outside and inside the Ingacious Sancho café.

All our cups go through our dishwasher, the same as our ceramic cups, to ensure they are clean and sanitised.

While the goal is to reduce waste throughout all of Benugo, this is a pilot that will allow us to learn and scale in a way that better meets the needs of our future clients.
